Monday 8th June

With our flight being at 15:50, we had time for more adventures before going to the airport. We decided to go on one of the Funicular Railways (Elevador da Glória), which was only a short walk from the hotel, and another one of the top ten things to do in Lisbon. There was the opportunity for more suitcase street–walking but strangely everybody decided to leave their cases at the hotel.

At the top of the Funicular is a small park area (Miradouro de Sao Pedro de Alcantara) from which there are good views over the city. There is also a café where we stopped for a cup of coffee.

The trip back to the airport was fairly unexciting, as the Aerobus turned up where expected and at the airport we found the transfer bus to terminal 2 from where Easyjet fly without too much trouble. At the Easyjet check in, the computer system was down, but the staff did remarkably well to do the check in manually and still get us off on time.

Another Dungroming escapade draws to its conclusion.
