Monday 10th June

The Manchester crowd had to get off early to catch the plane, but those of us Gatwick bound, had time to take the blue route bus into the Cathedral and a stroll for a final coffee at Starbucks. We then returned to the hotel to pick up our cases before commencing the journey home.

We are drawn back for a final visit to the Starbucks building.

It was a good place to watch the trams go by.

We had allowed plenty of time because we had had the problem with the queue for the bus when we had come. Having walked to the Republica underground station, we got to Central very quickly, and were pleased to find an empty bus was waiting for us and there was no queue. So we got to the airport three hours before our flight was due to take off and had to wait before we could check in.

So Milan was not one of the most exciting places we have been, as suggested by the fact that a Starbucks was one of the more interesting places we visited.
