As our train back was not until late afternoon, we had the best part of the day to entertain ourselves. Les Hartleys decided to make use of the facilities and after a workout in the gym (or that’s what they said) they hit the tennis court.

We decided to drive to the coast and have a look around. We found a suitable nature reserve and decided to try the circular walk. But the French uselessness at map making hit us again as we were never quite sure where we were. However we did spot a bird of prey which Le Alan decided was likely to be Le Marsh Harrier – but no doubt Le Chris will confirm this for us.

On arriving at Calais, we did the usual and filled the cars up with drink before heading home.
