Didn't we say we wouldn't use Ryanair again. We must have short memories, because here we were again subject to the money–grabbing games of the cut–price airline. The latest wheeze is to allocate every seat in the group to the middle of a row of three, so as to ensure none of us were sat together, and presumably to maximise the chances that we would pay the extra for the privilege of sitting together. Don't they realise when you've been married as long as us lot have, you can bear being apart for a couple of hours. It is a bit of a problem for people with kids though.
This year we just managed to avoid the problem of not being able to print off our return boarding passes before we left, but they have recently changed this, so another reason not to use them in the future.
However the economy nature of our flight was soon forgotten when we saw the pre–booked executive people carrier that turned up to convey us to our hotel – the Expo Hotel Valencia.
We arrived quite late and had lost an hour due to Valencia time which was different to other parts of Spain. So it was a meal in the hotel restaurant rather than roaming the streets as normal. It was after midnight before we got to bed.
